What is Candid?
Candid is a nonprofit that provides the most comprehensive data and insights about the social sector. Every year, millions of nonprofits spend trillions of dollars around the world. Candid finds out where that money comes from, where it goes, and why it matters. Through research, collaboration, and training, Candid connects people who want to change the world to the resources they need to do it.
When was Candid formed?
Candid was formed in 2019 when GuideStar and Foundation Center merged. Candid combined GuideStar’s tools on nonprofits and Foundation Center’s tools on foundations, enhancing them with additional resources to offer more comprehensive, real-time information about the social sector.
2021 Affiliate of the Year
Disability:IN Wisconsin won the 2021 Affiliate of the Year from the global organization, Disability:IN. The key accomplishments were establishing the first Wisconsin affiliate, growing and retaining business members from 10 – 36 spanning the state of Wisconsin, and hosting the first Annual Summit in 2019.
