Highlighting the ROKability ERG
At Rockwell Automation, one of the persistent goals within our Strategic Framework is to be a place where people can and want to do their best work, every day, while supporting and reflecting the communities where we live and work. The ROKability ERG was born out of this goal and recognizing that we did not have a community of support for those with disabilities or those who care for loved ones with disability. The ROKability ERG’s mission is a simple one: We promote and celebrate awareness, achievement and victories of all abilities within Rockwell Automation and our community through shared information, organizational awareness, outreach, education and collaboration with a goal to drive systemic changes within the enterprise and in our communities.

Why We Mentor
When I joined Old National Bank in 2014 with the mission to improve our disability inclusion efforts, we weren’t quite sure where to start, or what format would work best for our company and our leaders. We researched some of the best practices of other companies committed to disability inclusion but were still unclear of the best commitment to make the most impact.
But when we took a hard look inside our company culture, the answer came easy. Mentorship. Mentoring is embedded in our DNA at ONB. We jump at the opportunity to help others build their experiences, their confidence, and their professional network. At the same time, our leaders, who serve as mentors, seemingly always end up learning more from their mentees than they would have ever expected!

Mind Shift’s D&I initiatives are more external than internal. Our mission is to employ individuals on the autism spectrum, so our internal D&I initiatives are woven into our mission. We believe that contracting with Mind Shift is not only doing good, but it is also a good business decision, and we have the historical data to prove that.
