Throughout our history, Goodwill has served diverse populations across Southeastern Wisconsin and Metropolitan Chicago. The core of Goodwill’s mission is training, employment and support for people experiencing barriers to work and these efforts include employing a diverse workforce. Black and Hispanic individuals accounted for the largest percentages of people served in 2019.

While diversity and inclusion have been inherent to our mission, several factors over the past few years are leading our organization on the journey to formalize an enterprise Diversity, Equity & Inclusion framework that is seamlessly integrated within our strategic priorities. This work continues to be guided by our mission, helping to create pipelines of diverse talent both inside and outside of our organization where community need is greatest.

“Diversity, Equity & Inclusion is critical to who we are as an organization and why we exist,” said Jackie Hallberg, president & CEO of Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Wisconsin. “We remain committed to creating impact for individuals experiencing barriers to work.”
