Expand your network and resources to build and enhance your organization through disability employment

Join us for a series of discussions with various talent providers to help organizations answer the questions where I find talent and how I do build the partnerships that lead to successful employment.

Keynote Speakers:

  • Jakeim Jackson – Milwaukee Bucks

Jakeim Jackson-Bell is an HR Professional, Entrepreneur, Community Leader, Mentor, and Career Strategist from Dallas, TX. Jakeim is the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Outreach Manager for the NBA World Champions, Milwaukee Bucks. He is a People & Culture Game Changer who has made a positive impact helping students & professionals build their careers, shed light on the importance of mental health, mentoring at-risk youth, creating diverse & inclusive talent pipelines, and overall translating organizations business goals into reality across various industries. Jakeim graduated with his BBA in HR Management from The University of Texas at San Antonio and MBA with a concentration in Healthcare Administration from Texas Southern University. He’s worked in Human Resources for organizations such as American Airlines, Atlanta Hawks, Samsung Electronics, and Parkland Hospital. In Jakeim’s spare time; he enjoys giving back to the community and mentoring. Jakeim has been a Mentor at “Mentoring Brother 2 Brother” for 4+ years; inspiring and empowering at-risk African American male youth that is being raised in single female-headed households. Jakeim is actively involved in various professional organizations as well; Employ Milwaukee (Board Member), Black Sports Professionals – Milwaukee Chapter (Co-Vice President), Milwaukee County Business Advisory Council, 100 Black Men of Greater Milwaukee, Diversity Leadership Society – United Way of Greater Milwaukee & Waukesha County (Board Member), and National Black MBA Association (Member).

  • Jaimee Hrabik, Best Buddies

Jaimee Hrabik is the Manager of Job Development for Best Buddies Wisconsin. As a passionate advocate for individuals and with disabilities with 10+ years of progressive experience supporting the disability community, Jaimee promotes inclusion in all that she does. The Best Buddies Jobs program represents one of our organization’s four key mission pillars, Integrated Employment. This program secures jobs for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), allowing them to earn an income, pay taxes, and continuously and independently support themselves. The Jobs program places focus beyond the typical jobs in which a person with IDD might be placed. Best Buddies focuses on finding work that matches the job seeker’s interests and talents.

 

 

  • Tim Nau, TeamSoft

Tim Nau is the current Division Director for TeamSoft, a full-service IT consulting company with locations in Madison and Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Des Moines Iowa. Tim has over 25 years of executive sales, recruiting, and leadership experience, successfully building high-performance teams in the technical services industry. Tim has a strong commitment and dedication to give back to the community and it was this commitment to helping organizations hire diverse talent that Tim created TeamSoft CARES. The mission of TeamSoft CARES is to help our clients implement, maintain and grow disability hiring and strategies. This provides an opportunity for our clients to tap into this incredible pool of talent quickly and without the initial upfront investment or time requirements of building their own programs and pipelines internally. Tim was also recently elected to the board of Disabilty:IN Wisconsin and joins other amazing individuals that have a passion for helping those with disabilities find life-changing work opportunities.

 

 

  • Emily Raclaw, Marquette University

Emily Raclaw MS, LPC is the director of On Your Marq (OYM) at Marquette University. OYM is a college success program for Marquette students on the autism spectrum. Emily is passionate about educational and career opportunities for people with Disabilities as she is Neurodivergent herself.

 

 

 

 

 

Presenters:

  • Giorgianne Maziarka, UW-Whitewater

Giorgianne Maziarka MS, CRC, LPC began providing vocational services for individuals with developmental disabilities since 1990. She received her Master’s in Rehabilitation Psychology in 2001 from UW.-Madison. For six years she worked as a Vocational Counselor with injured workers, Veterans, and DVR consumers in Wisconsin and Alaska. She returned to Wisconsin and worked as an Employment Liaison for students with disabilities graduating from Madison College and Blackhawk Technical College. She has since worked in Disability Services at Madison College and is currently at UW-Whitewater as an Employer Relations Specialist/Disability Services Coordinator. Giorgianne’s lifelong passion has been supporting people with disabilities to reach their employment goals.
Mr. Allen is the Director of Strategy and Innovation for My Choice Family Care. In his current role, Mr. Allen provides insight, guidance, and recommendations to the executive team on strategies focused on organizational growth, brand awareness, and business expansion.

 

  • Debra Weber, WCTC

Deb is the Director for Waukesha County Technical College’s Career Connections department. She has over ten years of experience in career and employment services within higher education. Deb enjoys building meaningful relationships and connecting individuals to better one’s life, work, and community.

 

 

 

 

  • Tim Fox, CAI
    • Tim Fox serves as Advisory Client Executive of CAI Neurodiverse Solutions, a neurodivergent employment program. His passion for neurodiverse employment stems from witnessing the life-long challenges his brother faced living with cerebral palsy and the profound compassion he felt after an organization employed his brother full time. That experience motivates him to help others find meaningful careers despite any disability. With 16 years of C-level sales in IT and Pharmaceuticals, Tim’s success is proven with his consultative sales strategy, team development, and enterprise-level account acquisition. Tim earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Purdue University.
  • Joy Kieffer, Mind Shift

Joy Kieffer is a lifelong educator, Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, Master’s Degree in Special Education from Mankato State University, Sixth Year Certification in Education Administration from University of Minnesota- Mankato. She taught in general education and special education from 1979- 1989, and worked as a Special Education Coordinator and then as a Director of Special Education Services until she retired in 2015 (to care for and serve as guardian/conservator her son who sustained a traumatic brain injury.) Currently, Joy Kieffer is the Executive Director for Mind Shift, a 501©3 whose mission is providing sustaining employment for individuals on the Autism Spectrum. Mind Shift develops strategic business partnerships with companies in Fargo, ND, and surrounding areas, Minneapolis, MN and surrounding areas, Milwaukee, MN, and surrounding areas, and Denver, Co, and surrounding areas. As a non-traditional staffing business, Mind Shift recruits and works with candidates to prepare them to be valuable resources for the Mind Shift business partners. Currently, Mind Shift has brought talent to manufacturing, tech, insurance, shipping, and non-clinical hospital and research businesses. Mind Shift, a 501©3 providing sustaining employment for individuals on the Autism Spectrum.

 

  • Daren Allen, My Choice Wisconsin
