This session will be Facilitated by Jackie Steffenhagen, CUNA Mutual Group. At this session, our speakers will share their experiences around this topic. An important side note, we do NOT record these sessions to provide everyone safe space for discussing these important topics.

  • Definition – what are Invisible Disabilities, specific examples considered invisible, statistics
  • Living with disabilities – share what it is like living with their invisible disability with a focus on their work-life
  • How to advocate, support, and be inclusive – what does that look like for invisible disabilities; how do we overcome stigmas

Get to know our facilitator, Jackie Steffenhagen:

Bio: Jackie Steffenhagen – I have been with CUNA Mutual Group going on seven years this May. I am currently a Business Process Consultant on our direct-to-consumer Partner Management team. I have my Project Management Professional (PMP)® certification and graduated with my MBA from Edgewood College just last December.  In addition to my hired role, I also volunteer my time serving on the Core Leadership Team of our Allies for Disabilities ERG. Additionally, last year I undertook running our #RandomCoffee program which fosters random connections within our workforce. Outside of work, I am married with four kids, three daughters ages 16, 15, and 13 years, and a son who is 9 years old. I have a passion for learning about and serving the community of people living with disabilities because of my own journey of living with a permanent physical disability.
