Disability:IN Wisconsin, the state’s business association dedicated to advancing, improving, and expanding employment outcomes for people with disabilities, announced that founding Executive Director Judy Quigley will retire at the end of the year. She will be succeeded by Saul Newton, founder and former President and CEO of the Wisconsin Veterans Chamber of Commerce. Newton will assume the role of Executive Director in early 2024.
“I’d like to thank our Board of Directors who have been this organization’s guiding light, our committee volunteers who have been the backbone of this Disability:IN Wisconsin, our communications specialist who has taken the challenge of building our brand, all of our members, and everyone who has been involved in this organization for the support they have given me in building and growing Disability:IN Wisconsin. Starting with our six founding businesses who made the commitment to create more inclusive workforces to where we are today is quite an accomplishment,” said Judy Quigley. “It’s amazing how much has been accomplished over the past 5 years but it couldn’t have happened without all of them, and they have my heartfelt thank you for all their support. I’d like to extend a warm welcome to Saul Newton, who brings tremendous experience that makes the future of Disability:IN Wisconsin very exciting.”
Disability:IN Wisconsin is the state affiliate of Disability:IN, a global, non-profit, non-partisan business-to-business network empowering businesses to achieve disability equity and inclusion. Quigley has served as Executive Director since the organization was established in 2018. Under her visionary leadership, Disability:IN Wisconsin has grown to include dozens of businesses, employers, and organizations across the state that have a shared commitment to expanding opportunities for people with disabilities. The organization was recognized as 2021 Affiliate of the Year for demonstrating exemplary efforts in promoting the vision, mission and spirit of Disability:IN.
“Disability:IN Wisconsin is grateful for the amazing accomplishments we have achieved over the last 5 years. All of this amazing work would not have been possible without the incredible work of Judy Quigley. Judy has set Disability:IN Wisconsin up for tremendous success and has paved the way for continued growth,” said Disability:IN Wisconsin Board Chair Tracy Glorioso. “We are excited to welcome Saul to our team. His immediate focus on key initiatives and motivation to grow Disability:IN Wisconsin is exactly what we need as we continue to promote our vision and strategy moving forward. His leadership and business knowledge will be a key asset to our organization.”
Saul Newton comes to Disability:IN Wisconsin after serving as President and CEO of the Wisconsin Veterans Chamber of Commerce for the past eight years. Newton founded the organization in 2015 and led the organization’s growth including the development of more than two dozen pioneering educational, marketing, and direct assistance programs serving more than 500 member businesses and organizations.
“I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to serve as Executive Director of Disability:IN Wisconsin and to work alongside its dedicated members, partners, and stakeholders. I’m excited to build upon the organization’s remarkable progress to break down barriers, open doors, and empower individuals with disabilities to reach their fullest potential in the business world,” said Saul Newton. “I salute Judy for her outstanding service to this organization. It is an incredible honor succeeding her as she and the board of directors have set a strong foundation for the organization to continue to grow and thrive.”
Newton served in the Army from 2009-2012 and has served as a Business Representative to the Governor’s Council on Workforce Investment since 2019. He is also a member of the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives and the Wisconsin Society of Association Executives.
