ERG/BRG Networking Session

Increasing representation on your board and engagement with your members ERG/BRG Networks

The motto of the disability community is, “Nothing about us, without us.” Oftentimes, employees who apply to Disability BRG boards are caregivers or advocates, but may not have a disability themselves. How do you increase representation on your board for people with disabilities? In today’s session, members from the U.S. Bank Disability BRG will talk about a unique position on their board called a Disability Rep. You’ll hear how this position works, what the experience is like, and how disability visibility has increased engagement with their members. There will be time to ask questions and share best practices.

Discussion – Return to the Office

As employers prepare for colleagues to return to the office and transition to their new normal, how are companies ensuring they are intentional about a disability-inclusive culture? Let’s share best practices, answer questions, and learn from each other.

Michele LaMar, VP Human Resources, Associated Bank will lead this month’s dialogue on how to RETURN to the OFFICE

Audience: These sessions are designed for everyone involved with or interested in ERGs (employee resource groups) and BRGs (business resource groups), no matter where you are on the maturity model.

Employee Resources Groups (ERGs) go by many different names (i.e., Affinity Groups, Business Resource Groups, Employee Network Groups), but regardless of what they are called, they share a common purpose. They are a voluntary, employee-led group that serves as a resource for members and organizations by fostering a diverse, inclusive workplace aligned with organizational mission, values, goals, practices and objectives.
