ERG/BRG Networking Session

Helping employees and companies understand the challenges faced by employees with a visible or non-visible disability

This session will be Facilitated by Northwestern Mutual’s disABILITY Alliance ERG

An important side note, we do NOT record these sessions to provide everyone safe space for discussing these important topics.

 

 

At this session, our speakers will share their experiences around this topic. Below is a brief on our speakers:

Seetha Narayanaswamy is a Lead product manager on the Retirement Planning product team strategizing financial security for clients in retirement. She has been with Northwestern Mutual for 18 years. She was part of the core team that spearheaded the standing up DisABILITY Alliance ERG at NM. Has served on the board for 5 years including leading the board as a chair in 2020. Her passion for disability advocacy and allyship has drawn her closer to disability-inclusive efforts and is also the on the board of DisABILITY in WI. She champions an inclusive and equitable world for people with disabilities.

 

 

Refilwe Goll is a Sr. Category & Supplier Diversity Manager. She is a member of the disABILITY Alliance ERG Board and is happy to be part of the teams that help advance DEI both for employees and suppliers at Northwestern Mutual (Facilitator).

 

 

 

Chad Wright is the Corporate Architect for Northwestern Mutual, focusing on planning, design, and construction of home office buildings to ensure optimal employee experience and building lifecycle management. He is a member of the NM disABILITY Alliance ERG Board and is an advocate for universal accessible design for the Northwestern Mutual workforce.

 

 

 

Katherine Rosenkranz is a Sr. Client Marketing Manager on the Product Marketing Team working with the Wealth & Investment Management area. She has been with Northwestern Mutual for just over 4 years and currently is the programming chair for the disABILITY Alliance ERG. Her passion for disability awareness and inclusion stems from living with Type 1 Diabetes for over 31 years. To give her disability a purpose, she has spent years in various ways raising awareness and serving in her community.

 

 

Stephanie van Wieringen is a Project Manager at Northwestern Mutual working as a part of the Northwestern Mutual Data Science Institute (NMDSI).  Stephanie began her career as an intern at Northwestern Mutual and has been a part of the NMDSI since its creation in 2018. She holds a bachelor’s degree in English Literature from Carthage College and a master’s degree in English Literature from Marquette University. Stephanie specializes in event planning and logistics and helps run the NMDSI IMPACT Speaker Series. Stephanie lives in Milwaukee, Wisconsin with her fiancée, Colin, their dog, Charlie, and their cat, Binx. Her free time is spent rock climbing with friends, volunteering with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, and spending quality time with the people she loves

 

Kristy Rabe is a Lead Program Manager at the Northwestern Mutual Data Science Institute (NMDSI), managing the operations and communications team. She is a member of the CDA and CXD D&I counsels, CDA and DSA engagement committees, and Women’s ERG. While new to people management this year, 12+ years of project management experience across several teams and industries has led to a passion for understanding how people receive and retain information and what inspires them to be successful.

 

 

 

Join this session to brainstorm and share learnings on what small, immediate, and yet impactful adjustments/steps could be made to help employees and companies create an inclusive working environment for all.
