EMILY RACLAW, MS, LPC

Program Director On You Marq Program Marquette University

In Their Own Words is a panel discussion with Marquette University students who have professional work experience. They will share their honest feedback to help employers improve their handling of neurodiversity. It also includes some general recommendations that employers can implement immediately.

Emily is a Licensed Professional Counselor and the director of On Your Marq at Marquette University, a program that provides support to MU students on the autism spectrum. She is a lifelong Milwaukee resident and brings 15 years of disability in education expertise to the program.
She has presented at several conferences and trained other college success programs on the topics of disability as diversity, neurodiversity, and programming.
Prior to coming to Marquette, Emily has taught high school special education, worked as a vocational rehabilitation counselor, and coordinated a college success program for students with disabilities. She is an expert in program creation and development, as well as a disability advocate and professional.
Major takeaways include recommendations that can be applied without major changes, hearing real-life experiences from people on the spectrum, and an opportunity to ask the panelists questions.
